The SENSOR project aims to develop new sensory devices, able to detect chemical and microbiological contaminants in air and water, in real time, in a simple and economically viable manner.

The project has dealt with technical problems linked to the integration of different signals in a unique computerized platform for acquisition, management and sharing of data.

The project’s main purpose has been to develop innovative systems for chemical and microbiological contamination risk assessments; management and communication; to update the current retrospective approach with a preventive one; and to switch from a local to a global approach of risk, that extends to the entire supply chain, from uptake to the final user.
